China Disabled People’s Performing Arts Troupe in Brazil

In the passage of the group through brazil, we talked with Mr. Li Jinsheng, president of China Arts and Entertainment Group, and with the principal dancer of the company, Wei Jingyang.
Known for the investment in technology and culture, about 95% da population of China is alphabetized, with big part of the schools professionalizing, with universities and technical courses focused on technology. Since 2013, the government announced the application of billions to education and science, and for culture, it’s not different.
The company is maintained by CAEG - Chinas Arts and Entertainment Group - the larger cultural state-owned company - and rallies, per year, 4 thousand cultural activities like spectacles, performances and exhibitions in most of 200 cities around the world. Presenting “My Dream”, for most of 100 countries, they arrive for the first time in Brazil this year (2019)
The choreography my dream brings to the stage the vivacity of Chinese traditional music allied to folkloric dance of the country, modern ballet expression and the sign language. Mundial reference in performing and including art, the group received the title of “Peace Artist” from UNESCO in 2007.
The spectacle counts with the musical sequence of The White Bird, one of the songs played for 8 minutes in the Winter Olympic Games for the Disabled in PyeongChang. The instrumental solo of “Polka”, that matches the use of the classic bamboo flute, played inside an expert of occidental folkloric music, beside the famous Chinese songs like, “Deep Night” and “Horse Racing”.
In between the highlights of the presentation is the bodhisattva of thousand hands, with illumination and schoking performances, bring the spectator the optical illusion that it has only one dancer in scene, with an infinity of arms that move in the rhythm of music.
