Companhia Estável de Dança de Bauru will end its season of presentations of 2016 in a different way. This time the project “Companhia Solidária” (Solidary Company) presents to a differentiated public that is attended by social entities and also for residents of nursing homes and hospital patients. “Considering that many people can not get around to the theater to watch the company’s perfromances, the group decided to take their choreography to this audience,” said the company’s coordinator, Professor Sivaldo Camargo. The goal is to spread the art of dance as a way to democratize access to culture. “Besides forming dancers and artists, we are concerned that our dancers know the social reality and are agents for a transformation and humanization of our society,” says Sivaldo.
The program that will be presented by Companhia Estável was defined according to the public profile of each entity.
The Company developed a repertoire of 18 choreographies, created by renowned choreographers on the national scene. In these five years of activity, the group has won an audience that is faithful to their presentations and admires their work. The organization was created by a municipal law decree in 2011 and began its activities in January 2012. The Company attends to the principle of training, as it assists dancers to become professionals, taking the name of Bauru to artistic events throughout the national territory.
